Dr. Susie Khoo
President, Kaplan Higher Education Academy
Dr. Susie Khoo has close to 30 years of verifiable success and a proven executive management track record in the private higher education industry. Her extensive career spans senior leadership roles in both academic and operational capacities at various institutions. In her previous role as the Chief Executive Officer of Ngee Ann Academy, she spearheaded the transformation and rapid growth of the institution, delivering both intrinsic value and significant economic contributions to the organisation’s bottom line. Notably, within the first year of establishing Ngee Ann Academy, she secured four prestigious partnerships with top-ranking overseas universities - a highlight of her illustrious career.
Dr. Khoo’s expertise encompasses corporate governance, regulatory compliance, university and industry relations, as well as educational leadership and strategic business management. Her practical experience aligns with Kaplan's strategic vision to be a student-centered institution that champions quality, diversity, and inclusion.
Currently, as President of Kaplan Higher Education Academy, Dr. Khoo leads the Kaplan team in Singapore in advancing its mission to drive innovation and quality education opportunities for both Singaporean and international students, while enhancing Kaplan’s standing as a leader in private education.
Dr. Khoo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Politics and English Language, and a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Additionally, she earned a postgraduate qualification in Education from the National Institute of Education (NIE) in Singapore, an MBA from Western Sydney University (WSU), and a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Newcastle, Australia (UON).
