About the Programme
Bachelor of Information Technology in Mobile and Web Application Development and Web Communication (Double Major)
An education grant of S$2,180 is available to local applicants for the 2024 intakes of this programme. Please contact our Programme Consultant for more information.
What will our future phones and devices do? How will our cars, houses and appliances connect seamlessly in day-to-day life?
In this Degree programme, you will learn the theory, design, techniques and practices required to develop software systems for the internet, cloud and mobile devices, with a focus on client-server and mobile applications.
You will also explore advanced web programming, mobile application development, software development frameworks, databases, web and mobile computing, and IT professional practice project.
In the final year of your programme, you will take part in an IT Professional Practice Project unit. This will include working in a team with other students and consulting with real clients to recommend, develop and implement new technologies to solve business problems.
Students have the option to enrol in either Single or Double Majors.
Graduation & Degree Awarded
Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Information Technology in Mobile and Web Application Development and Web Communication from Murdoch University, Australia.
The Degree will be the same as that awarded to the on-campus graduates in Australia.

About the Programme

Admission CriteriaAcademic Requirements
Applicants with a Polytechnic Diploma may be exempted from up to 12 units and can gain entry to Year 2 of the programme. Applicants with a Murdoch University-recognised Kaplan Diploma or a private Diploma may be exempted from up to 8 units and can also gain entry to Year 2 of the programme.
This Degree programme accepts a wide range of qualifications, which include:
- Kaplan Diploma; OR
- Polytechnic Diploma; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications awarded by other Singapore-registered private education institutions
Applicants admitted to the programme may be required to undertake bridging modules to fulfil the prerequisite knowledge.
English Language RequirementsApplicants are required to meet the University’s English language requirement:
- An approved Diploma qualification or higher, where the language of instruction was English, OR
- GCE O-Level English Language or Literature in English with Grade C or better; OR
- IELTS 6.0 (with no band below 6.0)*; OR
- Kaplan Diploma in Professional Business English (PBEP) with a score of 75% (Distinction) or higher*; OR
- Any other equivalent English language qualification.

Applicants with a Polytechnic Diploma may be exempted from up to 12 units and can gain entry to Year 2 of the programme. Applicants with a Murdoch University-recognised Kaplan Diploma or a private Diploma may be exempted from up to 8 units and can also gain entry to Year 2 of the programme.
This Degree programme accepts a wide range of qualifications, which include:

- Polytechnic Diploma; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications awarded by other Singapore-registered private education institutions
Applicants admitted to the programme may be required to undertake bridging modules to fulfil the prerequisite knowledge.
