Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) Suite
Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) is a suite of awards that employers can use to provide employees with a grounding in accounting and finance.
The qualifications can be used to develop recruits from secondary schools or to encourage those already working in accounts support roles to obtain formal recognition of their abilities. There are no formal entry requirements.
FIA is a new entry-level suite of awards, which including Certificates, Diploma and a revised CAT Qualification.

7 modules above + 2 Optional modules from FTX, FFM & FAU
Optional papers (2 out of 3):
- FTX* – Foundations in Taxation
- FFM – Foundations in Financial Management
- FAU – Foundations in Audit

Students are required to complete a professionalism and ethics module called Foundations in Professionalism. This is an online interactive module.
You can complete Foundations in Professionalism before or after completing the exam component of the qualification you are aiming to achieve and you only need to successfully complete the module once, even if you decide to complete one or more of the abovementioned FIA suite of awards.

Admission CriteriaRQF Level 2 & 3
ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting
Minimum Age: 16 years old
Entry Requirements:
- Candidates should preferably have a minimum of GCE N-Level or Year 9 equivalent.
- Other qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
English Language Requirement:
- A Pass in GCE N-Level where the subject is conducted in English; OR
- IELTS 4.5 equivalent; OR
- Student to provide proof of an ACCA English Test report.
RQF Level 4ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business
Minimum Age: 16 years old

- Candidates should preferably have a minimum of GCE N-Level or Year 9 equivalent.
